My all-time favorite introduction cutscene to any game. The orcs, having conquered Stormwind and its capital, have built a massive fleet, to which is to bring the full destruction of the remaining human kingdoms. However, the human kingdoms, as well as the dwarfs of Ironforge, have banded together into a grand alliance against the foreign invaders. The two opposing forces heading upon an unstoppable collision, the outcome of which defining who would be the dominant power of Azeroth. For both sides, defeat is unthinkable, victory is the means to survival. The music invokes nostalgia...

The wizard Khadgar of Dalaran sealing the route inbetween the orc world of Draenor, now known as Outlands, and Azeroth. This marked the end of the Second Great War with victory to the Alliance.

The game that started it all. Behold the awesome might of DOS RTS gaming. The last statement has become my favorite in recent years "Welcome to the World of Warcraft". How ironic that statement now seems, as it was said a good ten years before WoW came out.

The fall of Lordaeron through the death of one man. Terenas Menthil, King of Lordaeron and current political figurehead of the Alliance, slain in his throne chamber. His son, Prince Arthas, his will broken and mind driven mad through the blade of Frostmourne he tried to weild as his own, the murderer. The Kingdom is scattered and leaderless, delivered into the hands of the forces that forged Frostmourne to begin with, the Burning Legion and the Lich King.

THe year is 2002 and for the first time in six years a warcraft game has emerged from Blizzard. The Old Horde may have been defeated, but that does not mean the human kingdoms, or the whole of Azeroth's citizens for that matter, have dealt with thier problems once and for all.
