Uther Lightbringer
From wow.incgamers.com
Heralded by many as the greatest warrior of the Alliance, Uther Lightbringer was the holy patron of the Order of the Silver Hand. In his younger years, Uther Lightbringer was the apprentice to the Archbishop Alonsus Faol, the abbot of Northshire Abbey. In the First Great War, many Northshire Clerics perished at the hands of the Orcs. In an effort to help the Archbishop build a new Order to protect the citizens of Lordaeron, Uther founded the Knights of the Silver Hand. This righteous Order was composed of Paladins, warriors empowered by the Light and guided by honour. As time progressed and the Second War ended, Uther aged but was still respected as the Silver Hand's leader. He carried a thundering presence with a voice demanding respect each time he spoke. Uther remained the wisest of all the Paladins.
As the Scourge plague crept into Lordaeron, many people were inflicted by its foul grasp. Due to the Paladins' unwillingness to destroy these infected humans, Paladin and Prince Arthas disbanded the Order of the Silver Hand. Despite this horrible blow to their brotherhood, the Paladins still work to fight evil and protect the innocent.
