Twisting Nether

An inter-dimensional region inhabited by the damned spirits of the dead. The demon army known as the Burning Legion also dwells within this sanctum between worlds.

After the destruction of the world of Draenor, there have been pieces of the world floating around in the Twisting Nether, now called simply Outland.

Physical laws like the one of gravity do not work like on other places. As the world lost it's own physical inertia, it's now governed by the perception of laws more than laws itself, the power to create temporary physical laws, such as gravity is created by the surviving inhabitants of Outland. Hence, if you are the only one on a specific fragment in the Twisting Nether, your mind will completely control the physical laws of that fragment. As you reach a bigger fragment, such as Outland, all the minds of all living creatures will create the physics of the plane. As most creatures will be used to "gravity" in a traditional sense, that is what you will find.

Even if you try to change the laws of physics on one of these shards, you will be unable to, due to that you are in an underwhelming minority of people accepting those laws for granted.

Within the laws of physics, abnormalities can arise due to magic or other forces, that normally work within the traditional laws of physics. This is the reason you will see things as floating islands, and never-ending waterfalls in Outland.
