Pandemonius, 1st boss of the Mana Tombs

General Info

Pandemonius is a huge voidwalker and is the first boss in the Mana Tombs wing of Auchindoun

• Level (Normal): 66 Elite
• Level (Heroic): 72 Elite
• Type: Demon

Abilities

• Void Blast – 800-1800 AoE Bolts, deals physical damage to everyone within range, damage is reduced by armor, also has a knock back effect and comes in a single and sometimes a double wave of bolts.
• Shadow Shield – Reflects all spells and when hit with melee attack deals 750-900 damage. (Visually it is a green half circle on the bottom and top of him)
• Melee – Purely shadow damage, deals about 700-1000 before resists.

Strategy

Since Pandemonius is shadowy in nature you should have Shadow protection from a priest or a Shadow Resistance Aura from a paladin in place before pull. Of course shadow resist pots & gear will help here also. The tank can pull Pandemonius to the SE corner of the room and tank him with their back against the wall to avoid trouble with the Void Blast’s knock back. Before the pull you will need to figure where the healers and other ranged dps classes will stand, to make sure healers have line of sight on the tank. The candle about 15 yards west of the corner that the tank will have Pandemonius is a great spot to stand; you will have los and will help in avoiding the knockback of the Void Blast.

This fight is not that tough, the thing that makes you succeed or fail is the Shadow Shield. All dps should cut including the tank, learn to cut dps during his Shadow Shield and you will be staring at his corpse in no time!
