Order of Tirisfal

The Order of Tirisfal is a secret ord order founded by the Kirin Tor in order to create a weapon to fight the Burning Legion. One person is determined Guardian and infused with the incredible power of Tirisfal. This guardian has in most cases only been a puppet for the Order, until Aegwyn became the Guardian, and remained in charge for several hundred years as she didn't want the Order control the Guardian.

In the end she refused to let another puppet of the Order become guardian and seduced Nielas Aran to have his child. She gave birth to a son she named Medivh, who she made the next Guardian. Unfortunately, Sargeras had infected Aegwyn during their last battle when he was defeated, and possessed the boy when the powers took hold of him.

Medivh, under the control of Sargeras, then created the rift that became the Dark Portal together with Gul'dan, and the First War started soon after. Medivh, the last Guardian, was killed early in the First War by Khadgar the Dalaran mage apprentice, Garona Halforcen the half orc Assassin and Anduin Lothar, his childhood friend. He was the last Guardian, and even if the Order of Tirisfal still might be around, there are no more single individuals with that enormous power.
