Nexus-Prince Shaffar is the final boss in the Mana Tombs wing of Auchindoun

• Level (Heroic): 72 (Elite)

Abilities

• Fireball – basic fireball, 1250-1650 damage.
• Frostbolt – basic frostbolt, 900-1200 damage
• Frost Nova – basic frost nova, about 550 damage.
• Blink – basic blink
• Summons Ethereal Beacons throughout the fight.

Strategy

When you get close to him the first thing you will see is 3 non-elite Ethereal Beacons, these need to die IMMEDIATELY. They hit rather hard, have good spell damage. If left alive they will turn into an elite Ethereal Apprentice, basically the same thing as the Beacon but takes a long time to kill.

Send the tank in first, all dps on the 3 Beacons; he will summon them throughout the fight. When he summons additional beacons they need to be killed ASAP. Keep the tank on the Prince always and dps goes in when no beacons are up, he will Frost Nova and blink often, his strategy is pretty basic. The worst part of this encounter is the first few seconds because all 3 beacons and the Prince focus fire on whoever pulls, if we kill the initial 3 beacons and have not lost anyone we are in good shape to have a boss kill in the next few minutes.

This guy has a lot of spell attacks so the Spell Reflect ability is very useful.
