Mannoroth

The Demon King of the Pit Lords, Mannoroth the Destructor was enlisted by Archimonde to be a right hand general in the Burning Legion. A being of pure hate, malice and rage, he was an ultimate living engine of destruction that took pleasure in razing the lands and murdering all in his path. Mannoroth had a large part to do with the initial corruption of the orcs, having spilt his blood into a fountain and having the orcs drink from it. Grom Hellscream was one of the first to drink from the fountain of blood. Little did these orcs realize that they gave themselves in to demonic power and bloodlust of Mannoroth.

When the orcs were defeated and put into internment camps, those that had drank from the fountain had the largest withdrawal due to the lack of demonic bloodlust and spirit. Mannoroth had long awaited the second invasion of the Burning Legion on Azeroth, hoping for vengeance against the Night Elves. He saw a perfect opportunity when Tichondrius reported the orcs had enraged Cenarius out of hiding to attack them. Heading to Kalimdor, he corrupted another fountain with his blood, knowing that the orcs would find it. His plans cam to fruitition and Grom sensed the fountain and its power. He used it to empower his clan and to destroy Cenarius. Unfortunately for them, Mannoroth came and corrupted Hellscream into becoming his pawn of murder once more. After Thrall managed to capture Hellscream and, with the aid of Jaina Proudmoore, purge the demon corruption out of his mind, they went to confront Mannoroth. Although Thrall could not dent Mannoroth, Hellscream managed to use part of Mannoroth's own fury against him. This resulted in Grom Hellscreams death and Mannoroth's destruction.
