So you wanna start in The Burning Crusade? Read this. Answer to most commonly asked questions. Beta players are asking them all over again and again. Save yourself and others from frustration.

First a small introductory talk. When you start questing in Outland just try to remember your old times - it involves discovering new places, new mobs and new npcs. There are many NPCs "hidden" in various places - they offer quests or other interesting things. There are also "hidden" items which you can pick-up for new quests as well as drops which start a quests. Don't hesitate to leave the road and discover everything you can.

There are hundreths of quests in Outland available which can help you to level your character very easily. And they have very nice rewards - monetary, XP, reputation and item wise. I would say - do them all. It's best way to level (at least for me).
