| In WotLK you should find that things are a little more vigorous than what you are used to now. Many cities and settlements are constantly threatened and attacked by enemy hordes and monsters. For an example you will find that Valgarde in Howling Fjord is under a constant Vrykul invasion, and that Warsong Hold in Borean Tundra is under siege by the Nerubians. In both cases you will see the Alliance and Horde forces fighting to push back the enemy invaders, and players who choose to actively take part of these battles will have a chance to be nicely rewarded with quest items that will drop from some of the elite mobs that will be a part of the battles from time to time. |

Indeed jschild, however, I'm not going to give up on Blizz to improve our characters' appearances. The pre-TBC classes are starting to show their age a bit, and I think Blizz would be wise to do something about that before long. I wouldn't stop playing WoW because of it, but it might discourage new people to start playing, especially as there are good-looking games like AoC out there now.

There will probably be an "enhanced texture pack" or "hi-res" update eventually, depending on how things go. Optional for those with older computers, only thing they need to do is make sure to optimize it. Too many people update graphics but they run far more sluggish than they should.

Some of us NEED a new face... lol
When I created my first (and still favorite) character, I had a very old 17" CRT and a weak graphics card. I could not really see the faces and as a result I have what must surely be the ugliest Night Elf in the game.
