Rob Pardo at GDC Paris Just Before WWI

14th May 2008 01:59 AM GMT | Leord | 0 comments

GDC Paris have just announced that Rob Pardo, Blizzard's VP of Game Design will be interviewed at the event, which is just a few days before WWI 2008 and also located in Paris. This year is truly an epic Blizzard-buzz year, and we are looking forward to the (possible) presentation of Diablo 3 as well as playing Wrath of the Lich King and StarCraft II with our own hands this summer and autumn at WWI and BlizzCon. We wonder what other events we might see from Blizzard who already have had a StarCraft II press tour and a Lich King Press tour. This year isn't even halfway over yet!

From Diablo to World of Warcraft to Starcraft II, Blizzard's VP of Game Design Rob Pardo has his finger on the pulse of what gamers want. However, developing games that meet both the exacting standards of core gamers, yet have the accessibility and footprint to live and flourish on most people's computers is a complex real time strategy game all by itself. In this keynote Q&A, GDC executive director Jamil Moledina interviews Pardo on his inspirations, challenges, and next steps at Blizzard. The discussion is informed by Blizzard's lessons learned, resources unlocked by success and merger, and the raw talent in evidence in their development team. Moledina also includes questions submitted online from the community of developers in the myGDC forums, to give everyone a piece of the action.

Give all Blizzard fans Diablo 3, and we have a complete circle!
