Increased Weapon Size - NOT a Bug??

As always, the issue of size is a touchy one. Taurens have had their 2 handed weapon size reduced, and Blizzard say this is an intentional change. However, Female Humans and Male Dwarves have been affected by a an alteration that makes their weapons appear much larger when sheathed. Blizzard claim that this, too, is intentional. Can someone tell me why certain classes weapons are meant to look bigger when sheathed than others?
