2.4 Known Issues and Undocumented Changes

I took all the info we had already and made this list. I'll add new things to it as we discover them, but please continue to add things you find that aren't here already.
A huge thanks to everyone who submitted all the info, keep PM-ing/mailing us in, or post in this thread.

General
- Some NPCs at the Sanctum of the Stars, including Commander Hobb, have had their bow models updated.
- The buildings that connect the various parts of Thunder Bluff no longer dismount players, or take Druids out of [spell]Travel Form[/spell].
- There are new loading screen tips.
- Some game physics have been changed to prevent players wall climbing/wall jumping.
- When landing in water you now sink enough to have to hold your breath.
- There is now a direct flightpath from Ratchet to Orgimmar (it used to go by way of Crossroads).
- Blue gems can now be pick-pocketed.
- Druids that were in [spell]Tree of Life[/spell] Form or [spell]Moonkin Form[/spell] will now be able to auto-shift out to mount up.
- [spell]Moonkin Form[/spell] is now affected by the Fel Orc Costume buff.
- Ammo Pouches and Arrow Quivers can no longer be simultaneously equipped in your character's bag slots.
- Pet Boar's Charge ability generates a lot less threat compared to post-2.4 threat lists.
- [spell]Snake Trap[/spell] and snakes spawned from the trap will no longer despawn when the hunter dies (same mechanic as other traps).
- [spell]Icy Veins[/spell] now has a sound when cast (cracling sound, similar to new Priest [spell]Power Word: Shield[/spell] spell).
- [spell]Ice Barrier[/spell] now absorbs more damage.
- [spell]Righteous Defense[/spell] can now be cast on all friendly targets.
- [spell]Touch of Weakness[/spell] no longer interrupts channeling when it procs.
- [spell]Mind Vision[/spell] can no longer be used in Arena. It also doesn't interrupt drinking/eating.
- [spell]Power Word: Shield[/spell] now has a different sound when cast.
- Attempting to pickpocket a target that has been picked will produce a message informing that the target's pocket has been picked.
- Cheat Death ability now properly reduce incoming damage (was bugged since 2.3.2 patch and absorbed too much damage: it decreased all incoming damage by 90% and then absorbed 90% of damage taken. In sum it is 99% of absorption for 3 seconds.)
- If a rogue hits an immune enemy, he will not lose his combo points.
- Performing Deadly Throw no longer automatically turns you towards your target.
- The Shamanistic Focus has lost its sound. Known bug.
- [spell]Whirlwind[/spell] has a new sound.
- Charge and Intercept will now move the player to his target (not miles away).
PvP
- Temporary buffs from Warsong Gulch, Arathi Basin and Eye of the Storm now count as buffs instead of debuffs.
Professions
Alchemy
- Four new Alchemy Stones added, all need the previous [item]Alchemist's Stone[/item]
- [item]Assassin's Alchemist Stone[/item] confers +108 AP, Increases effect of Healing and Mana potion +40%.
- [item]Guardian's Alchemist Stone[/item] confers +54 Defense Rating, Increases effect of Healing and Mana potion +40%.
- [item]Sorcerer's Alchemist Stone[/item] confers +63 Damage/Healing, Increases effect of Healing and Mana potion +40%.
- [item]Redeemer's Alchemist Stone[/item] confers +119 Healing (+40 Damage), Increases effect of Healing and Mana potion +40%.
Blacksmithing
- All grinding stone recipes have now been correctly categorized.
Engineering
- 350 epic goggles have a L62 requirement.
- Engineering pets no longer scale with Engineer skill
Herbalism
- Nightmare Vine now has spawn points at both Forge Camp: Wrath and Forge Camp: Terror in Blade's Edge Mountains
- When gathering Nightmare Vine there is an increased chance of gaining the Nightmare Pollen debuff
Mining
- Mining nodes now drop more blue gems than before.
Quests
- Dragonmaw Transporters now stay on their mounts, and are now likely to evade more.
- The quest The Deadliest Trap Ever Laid has had the gold reward increased from 7 gold 28 silver to 18 gold, 28 silver.
- Nethermine Ravagers in the Netherwing Mine spawn more frequently, and there are a lot more of them.
- The number of [item]Netherwing Crystal[/item]s required for the daily quest Netherwing Crystals has been dropped from 40 to 30.
- Players are now only required to kill 6 Bloodscale Enchantresses in the Sporeggar repeatable quest Now That We're Still Friends...
- The quests for giving players [item]Stormpike Insignia[/item] or [item]Frostwolf Insignia[/item] had their level adjusted for level 70 players. As a result each trinket upgrade will additionally give 11 gold, 40 silver at level 70 due to increased experience gain.
Dungeons & Raids
Black Temple
- Reliquary of Souls is bugged and isn't casting Deaden nor shielding in Phase 2.
- Supremus has had his size increased. The hitbox of Supremus has also been reduced significantly.
Mount Hyjal
- 12 rep for each mob kill, 375 rep for each boss. 1500 rep for Archimonde.
- Horde Camp Witch Doctors no longer put down healing totems.
- Archimonde's Targeting hit circle is now about the size of the one on ROS.
- Warriors can no longer intercept back on air bursts.
- Mining nodes in MH don't appear to drop green gems anymore, have a higher rate on epic gems and now drop a grey fragment that sells for 30g/stack (20 stack).
- The area around Archimonde in Battle for Mount Hyjal has been decreased in size and players are no longer able to go into the hills around his area.
Tempest Keep
- Void Reaver no longer targets a player before casting an Arcane Orb, so boss Add Ons such as BigWigs or Deadly Boss Mods are no longer able to warn of incoming Orbs.
- Flame patches in phase 2 can no longer be killed with spell reflect by warriors. Al'ar's hit box was made smaller.
Magtheridon's Lair
- The duration of the Mental Exhaustion debuff has been reduced, such that you only need one person to per cube.Also, there can only be one Infernal per Channeller.
Karazhan
- Releasing a chess piece in Karazhan sometimes bumps you back to Curator's room now.
- The Prince Malchezzar fight in Karazhan has had its safe spots on the left side of the room removed as of 3/26/08.
Items
- The [item]Zapthrottle Mote Extractor[/item] has a new on-use animation.
- Stats of [item]Shifting Tanzanite[/item] changed from +5 STR and +4 AGI to +5 AGI and +6 STA.
- The Fists of Fury (Weapon set: Claw of Molten Fury + Fist of Molten Fury) added to Hyjal loot table.
- Items intended for Retribution paladins have been rebalanced. Spell damage has been replaced with stats such as critical strike, haste, and strength on Season 1 and 2, Tier 4 through Tier 6, and other miscellaneous Retribution gear. Season 3 was already changed in patch. 2.3.
- Corrected tooltips for most trinkets to show more accurate cooldowns (only tooltip text change). For instance, [item]Bladefist's Breadth[/item] now show correct cooldown of 1.5 minutes instead of 2 minutes.
- The PvP mounts [item]Swift Warstrider[/item] and [item]Reins of the Black War Elekk[/item] have been added to the game.
- [item]Golden Cenarion Greaves[/item] - Blizzard has removed 35 spell damage and healing from this item.
- [item]Philosopher's Stone[/item] is now a trinket with +5 to all stats (level requirement 35)
- Items with cooldowns now have text "Cooldown Remaining: mm:ss" at their tooltips.
- Battleworn Tuskguard - Changed from 40 block rating to 40 defense rating.
- [item]Stratholme Holy Water[/item] does less damage. Most likely a cause of no longer being affected by Spell Damage bonuses.
- Brewfest pony keg now lets you choose where to put it.
- Mechanical Dragonling and Mithril Mechanical Dragonling now have a cooldown of twenty minutes instead of an hour. They are also caped at level 40 (mithril) and 50 (arcanite).
User Interface
- Tutorial hints (after clicking on the yellow exclamation mark at the bottom of the screen) are now displayed in the center instead of at the bottom.
- Separate options added to display names of pets, companions, or creations for friendly or hostile units.
- Raid Window in default Blizzard UI will no longer be empty or locked if opened during combat.
Sounds
- There is new music in Orgrimmar and Thunder Bluff inns.
- Equipping a fishing pole will now mute the music.
- Soulwell now make an ambient sound around it.
- Portals now have a sound.
- Ritual of Refreshment now has a different sound.
- All Dragonwhelp pets now have sounds.
World Environment
- Monstrous Kaliri now fly way more quickly and more or less dismount you with one hit.
- Netherwing Transporters will now hover above you and shoot you full of arrows before finally descending into melee range.
- Winged Demons in the Blade's Edge Mountains (Ogri'la plateau) and Hellfire Peninsula (Pools of Aggonar) have started to use their wings instead of walking back and forth.
- All Lightning Wasps have been removed from Bash'ir landing, there are only ethereals and elementals left there.
- The Fel Orcs on Netherwing Ledge now speak like other NPCs do with voice emotes.
- Skyguard Khatie in Skyguard Outpost in Blade's Edge is now mounted and flying on a nether ray.
- Domesticated Felboar no longer give experience when killed.
- Lor'themar Theron has had his dialogue changed to acknowledge Kael'Thas has betrayed the blood elves.
- Arcane Guardians now say "Remain strong. Kael'thas will -- error -- Lor'thermar will lead you to power and glory!".
Graphics
- Dwarf weapons have increased in size when sheathed.
- Dwarf male shoulder pads have decreased in size.
- Will of the forsaken animation was changed.
- The animation and flight speed of Avenger's Shield has been increased..
- Sprint has a new animation.
- There is a new skin for Druid Gladiator head armor: the colour of the faceguard portion now matches the other parts of the set.
- Warlock Season 3 Gloves have have a graphics change.
- Human female's weapons appear much larger when sheathed.
- The animation for the Shadowbolt seems to move faster than before.
- Male Tauren weapons had their size reduced while on the character's back.
- On both the normal and epic Night Elf sabers, the rider has been shifted forward.
- Character models have been updated to increase performance. Only visible on human female characters.
- Paladin's Merciless Gladiator shoulders have changed colour slightly.
Bug Fixes
- The Falthrien Academy is now correctly displayed as a subzone of Eversong Woods, not as a zone (which has a bigger fade text on entering).
- Some mounts (like the epic Hawkstrider) now make a sound, when standing still and pressing the space bar.
- Wind Rider Master Urda, in Hammerfall, is now standing on her platform instead of under it.
- The cost of flight paths will now be properly reduced if your reputation is Friendly, Revered or Exalted.
- Vanndar Stormpike and Drek'thar no longer give info about how many elite NPCs are left at Alterac valley.

This is what I've noticed so far:
- the demons in BEM (the one's south of the Ogri'la) now seem to have a much smaller hitbox. The graphic for when they drop the fire thingy on you has been updated so that it appears to drop on all party members within range.
- the demons on the "Simon" puzzle thing in BEM have had their graphics updated.
- the quest giver for the Lasso quest is now mounted on a ray.
- This is not really a bug...but it's an issue that needs to be looked into. There does not seem to be a repair NPC near the Magister's Terrace. Seems silly that everyone needs to hearth to repair and then get resummoned.

There is no problem in the city near Magister's Terrace. Read more about the island on this site or on wowwiki.com and see that its all part of the plan.
