The WoW community is split 50/50 - Will we see Patch 2.4 go live tonight?

The PTRs are still up, which is an indication that Blizzard aren't ready to implement the patch; but they've already said it's past the point where they can make any big changes. We've received a large chunk already, around 250MB, via the background downloader too, which is another sign it's close to being released, but so far there's been no confirmation or denial from Blizzard.

I'll update here as the night goes on, so check back for the latest on this. In the meantime, review the patch notes and see what 2.4 has in store for us on our content pages.

UPDATE: PTRs are down, looks like it's going to be tonight.

Yes, it'll be tonight followed by page after page of qq about the new area, new abilities-nerfs and buffs. Addons breaking in huge numbers!!

PvP realms will see all out battle over the mount hyjal summoning stone while the new 5 man instance will also be a battlefield.

Considering Blizzard has, if memory serves, kept the PTRs up and released a patch before... I'd say there is the chance the patch might happen. But I'd actually think it is more likely next week (gut instinct, no real definable explanation why).

I've seen the background downloader go for 3 weeks straight before, and I can't recall EVER there be a patch released while PTRs are still up (kinda defeats the purpose).

The PTR's are were taken down a bit ago to conclude testing for 2.4. Tomorrow is the patch.

The PTR's were still up on patch day for the last several patches when they came out.
