I kinda regret starting on alliance now...One guy took the flag all the way to our base but doesnt know how to put it on. then they started calling each other noobs and comparing who got the better gears. 10min passed and he got killed and lost the flag.

Heh, I watched someone gather the flag up the other day, run out of the Horde base, Mount up and drop the flag... Weekend battlegrounds just aren't worth it most of the time! :)

How about 4 allies standing still in the middle of WSG watching 2 or 3 hordes running along the sides and up the ramp.
Hello!!! defend the entrance anyone???

I have found that some Alliance players join BG's just to lose as fast as possible. 1 Mark for 5-10 min loss Vs 3 Marks for 30-40 min win. You do the math the way they have, & there's your reason for seeing all the dumbasses in BG's.
Only problem with that is, when they get grouped with players who wanna win they don't have a clue & generally screw things up for those that do.

OMFG, i have the same problem. This is why i regret making a twink and spending all that gold, i was recently in wsg and this really took the piss i was the only person trying to get some kills and get the flag, the other 10-15 people where DANCING!!!!! i nearly broke down and cried. Sometimes when im in wsg i see people arguing over whos a noob, who has the most kills, who has the best gear, this **** needs to stop sorry about my language but im fed up blizzard do something kick people.

How about 5 undead twink rogues camping the alliance GY with no one on the horde team even considering to capture the flag?
I don't know where you people have been playing, but I've never seen anything like team dancing and whatnot idiocy happen on my server(s). It's not that way everywhere.

Usually the only time team dancing occurs in my battlegroup is when one group is hopelessly outgeared against a premade. I've been on both sides of it. There just isn't any fun in going up against a premade T3 geared team when your team is either a PuG or T1 and less. In those cases we do our best to be competitive for the first 5-10 minutes but if it proves hopless we dance in the GY and get the route over with. Showing respect to the other team by raising the white flag and letting them accumulate their honor faster... usually 3-4 members of the opposition will come dance with us (or we've gone to dance with the other team).
Never seen it in a competitive game though... now people screaming noobs and whatnot... it happens on horde side too from time to time.

My personal pet pieve is AV on weekends, some noob convinces all the other noobs to try and cap every place and O never moves past mid field...if they are lucky they may get to galv only to be stopped there.
Granted more caps = more honor, but seriously zerg AV to FW and RH = fast win = 3 tokens and decent honor
/sigh
Anywho

Don't fret... with the inception of the Blood Elves life in the old world cities is already unbearable. Thank god most of them will take a while before getting to outland.
For instance beggers have always been present but now every time I come back to Ogrimmar to visit the AH for a minute or I'm headed to CoT... I end up putting someone new on my ignore list. I only had like 5 people on ignore in the year I played prior to the expansion.

I'd have been tempted to agree with that Big Guns, but a Druid friend has been playing Battle Grounds at level 39. The types of gear he's been getting is impressive to say the least. And this is from an Alliance, casual player perspective. They're not a waste if you're getting cool loot

Too true, the loot is very good for those of us with no big brother toon to send us gold. My 29 Shaman rocks with all the blues from WG and BG, plus I had a great time in all the battles.
I even got to be in one of those wonderful AB wins where we got all 5 bases and stomped on everyone as they tried to leave the GY. Ah, memories...
Self-twinkage FTW!
wow, i nominate this thread for winner of "more whiny crying noobcakes than all other threads combined!!"

Alliance is more then capable of winning most of those BG's to.
So much ignorance though, most of the alliance rather have 8 people chase 1 rogue to the roof while the horde has the flag.
I kind of wonder to why in pugs everyone has ****ty gear on to. Its like these people bought their character off ebay, PVP pugs is completely useless.
But on the other side of that also, it makes me sick when horde taunt and emote in their premade for beating a stupid pug team, i actually go to their servers and call them on it and tell them what I think.
Horde is no better off then the alliance is.

I despair of alliance in BGs although I do play a 29 human pally for a change sometime when I feel masochistic, I've specifically rolled a couple of horde toons to BG with. The BG rewards gear is great, I tend to BG a lot at x6+, get the x8 rewards and they do me nicely for the next 10 levels to help out normal leveling.
WSG yesterday (alliance). For once the alliance killed off most of the horde near the horde tunnel when the 7 remaining alliance players got attacked by ONE horde mage. 6 of my teammates started chasing this mage across the map while I go alone to FR and get killed by 2-3 horde who had ressed. I bet that horde mage was laughing his ass off at the muppets on my team

My solution to Alliance BGs has, and always ever will be to find a Guild which does regular BGs, that knows what they're doing, and see if you can tag along whenever they BG, or join their Guild if it suits you so. If you're curious as how to find this out, just /who <battlegroud> <your level bracket> whenever you want to BG, then go to the /who screen and on the zone box switch it to guild and see if there is a large number of a single guild in the BG, and POLIETLY ask if you could tag along. Just to warn you, if it's a well known guild on the server, they probably will have a waiting list.
It reduces the headaches ten fold, and even if you loose, you're amongst friendly persons and it makes the loss ever so much more bearable, especially if it's a good team, and you know you'll win again.
Also, make sure you know what YOU'RE doing before you go in, that way they'll ask you back if you make a good impression.

My experience with BG's is that the Horde rarely loses on my server (a fairly new server too). I ran WG and AB combined about 15 times last night and lost one game to the Alliance. The good thing about it was in every BG instance, the same players where in it (not from the same guild) so team chemistry started to build early.
My advice to anyone, narrow down your chat screen to /bg talk and pay attention to whats going on!

There is a video somewhere of a R14 Tauren in the Ally base trying to figure out how to grab the wsg flag. He run up, steps on the flag, and runs away, only to come back and do it all over again. The video is captured by an alliance. After a few minutes, every single alliance is in their flag room laughing at him before they kill him. The title was something like "Honor Powereleveled R14 can't grab flag"
It was hysterical....
But...other common idiot things I see are:
Pally's bubbling with flag
FC mounting with the flag
Rogues/druids stealthing with the flag
etc. it is quite hysterical too!

I use to bubble with flag.
Usually though it was only to remove 99 dots or snares and then quickly clicking it off and regrabbing the flag.
Rogues will vanish and regrab the flag as a speed boost to escape also.

I was carrying the flag the other day, hiding on the roof with a lvl 19 blood elf pally supporting me. The alliance had taken the flag so I was just waiting for it to be returned. Then all of a sudden the pally starts calling me a noob over /bg and shouting at me to score! It took a few minutes to explain to the guy that this was impossible whilst our flag was running around the map. Made me chuckle for a while. :D

So much ignorance though, most of the alliance rather have 8 people chase 1 rogue to the roof while the horde has the flag.
And I'm willing to give a wild guess why this happened. I can well imagine that those alliance players were so demoralised, they thought any less people going after that guy isn't gonna get him killed at all.

I dunno. In my battle group more alliance are twinked than horde. I would say that we win more battles but sometimes there are just too many shiny rogues on the alliance side (one battle i was up against 1 hunter and 9 rogues!). That being said it's rare even in those circumstances for the horde to get demoralised. Annoyed maybe but still fighting tooth and nail. (of course there are exceptions!)

I am convinced that the horde aren't that much better at BG's it's just that alliance QQ's more about their losses. I admit I'm a fairly casual PvPer only a few BG's a night, maybe more if I'm bored with instances or something, but I would say the BG's I do, we win about as much as we loose. And the times we loose only half the time its because of a retarded team, the other half end up close matches.
And as far as all the noobs you like to make fun of - it's not like there's a manual that comes with the game explaining all the little rules of PvP that everyone here had to learn on their own at one time or another. The only difference is, that "noob" just learned it, while you learned it way back then when you were a "noob" too.

I for one feel justified making fun of them because I have made the same mistakes back in the day. I certainly remember grabbing the flag on my old hunter, then mounting and charging off. I got half way down the field before wondering why the flag graphic wasn't showing while I was mounted! A quick read of the chattlog later and i was lolling at myself!
Making fun is fine, as long as it doesn't get harsher than that (which i have seen).

i wouldn't make fun of anyone making such mistakes... unless they happened to have "high warlord" above their name O.o
