Are there any good mod for battlegrounds that I should know about? Even if it's class-specific mods that are good for that class to use in battlegrounds?

I think SSPvP is one of the best. Panza is great for the healers. The addons I already use would be an awfully long list, I'm just seeing if anyone knows any good ones that are possibly a little more obscure and not well known.

TitanBattleground is the only one that comes to my mind. Haven't tried it yet, but seems pretty damn useful from what I saw.

I use two
AB Helper EFS Redux -- it nicely tells you who owns what node, which are in conflict and how long until they cap. It'll tell you how long the game will last... and if you are behind, how many nodes you need to catch up and win.

The only downside is it's only for AB. I didn't realize how useful it was until I was in AV going, "how much longer until IB caps?". Someone was using one (I htink SSPvP) in AV last night and reporting how long until things capped.

The other one I use is called RankScore (Available from curse-gaming, not here). It keeps track of your progress through the ranks and can make predictions of how long it'll take you to make certain ranks etc. It tells me I'm 2 weeks to rank 8... so in 2 weeks, move aside from me on the bgs.. I'll be movin' 15% faster!).

I'll have to check out titanbattleground. I've been tempted to try out titan. I currently get most of the information from InfoBar, so I haven't been hardpressed to switch.

I need to find a good debuf timing mod. I need to know how long until a rogue's stunlock will expire so I can try breaking it in a gap. I also need to know how long my feral charge expires so I can bash and not leave a gap.

Any suggestions on the timing mod?

One I saw come out the other day I've been considering trying is an extension to smartheal to take range into account. One of my problems with healing in AV is knowing who's around me to heal.... just seeing that a party memeber is dying doesn't really hell... they might be on D and I'm on O or vice versa. I haven't installed smart heal because I don't really want it... its one of those healing crutches that let you push one button to heal the lowest person in the party with the right rank of spell... so I probably still won't install it.

So I read up on TitanBG and it is indeed the most complete. It shows queue times, length of times till cap... and a really nice feature of raid management. I can handle auto-adding poeple when they come into the raid... auto disbanding it when its done... auto accepting the invites... leaving when you're done etc.

Since i dont have titan panel installed, I tried out SSPvP. It's got a lot of the same stuff Titan has. I'm actually rather happy with it. It allows me to auto-accept invites. It'll auto-realese when dead in a bg. It'll even auto-accept BG invites 20-30s after they pop UNLESS you hid them.

It does the AV timers as well... Since it takes 5 minutes to cap a graveyard, it's nice to know how much longer you ahve to wait, or how much longer you have to get a GY back before your opposing faction steals it.

One thing it was supposed to do which I didn't get to work is show you who has the flag in WSG. It's supposed to overlay the name right next to the WSG N/3 capture count.

I'll play with SSPvP a little more and report back. I haven't been in an AB (they happen seldomly on my server), so I'll see how it works in there and if it conflicts with AB Helper (Which I really like).

The flag carrier works perfectly for me. I also use battleground sound alerts too, and invite-o-matic.

I figured it out, it was an option in the WSG tab in the config GUI. One nice thing about it also is if you click on the name of the person who has the flag out, you'll either target them or get a message that they're not in range. Nice if you wanna nuke the flag carrier.

Oh, yeah, I use Shift-tab to select an enemy carrier and control-tab to select our carrier. I also have control-Q to put a purple diamond on my selected target, I like to put a diamond on our carrier.

Is control-Q part of the standard interface or a mod you have? I'd like to be able to put a cosmetic mark on my target. There is actually a thread on the community forums where someone is asking to do exactly that.

Is there one that lets you autojoin the BG when you are in the queue and you are ready? Would like to do other things like housework while waiting for BG :)

SSPVP lets you autojoin.

Of course, autojoin wouldn't be needed as much if we could just join the queue from anywhere and be returned there after the match was over.

It really sucks to queue up, travel somewhere to grind awhile, only to have the queue pop as you get there - dumping you right back where you started after the match. They wouldn't have nearly as many people just standing around the capital cities if not for this.

bhroam

Yeah... this does suck especally if you want to grind some place which isn't near a capital city. For the alliance, going to Silithius is a pain because it takes 10-15m to get there... you grind for 15-20m waiting for a wsg to pop and then need to return... not to mention the 20s it costs to get there.

Maybe in 1.12 when the queue times are shorter, your decision will be more, do I PvP or not today... not OK I sign up for the queues since they're hours long....

I use the following:

SSPVP - Autojoin, Autorez, good mini-map for keeping rtack of who is where.
FuBar BattleGroundFU - Good running total of scoreboard stats.
FuBar WhatsUp - Monitors whatever BGs you want and lets you know when one is up. I don't wnat to bother wasting potential leveling time to go to a major city and queue up just to wait 4 hours to get in. If I know that people are actively playing however I can be reasonably sure that my wait won't be that long.
BGCoordinator - Auto raid creation. If I get into WSG and everyone is just sitting around yelling "Invite Please" instead of starting a raid, I can simply type "/bgc start" and I'm done. It will invite everyone and whisper them if they are already in a group. It maintains it's own blacklist and won't pester players that don't want to join the raid.

How about stopping afk? I don't want to afk in BG but I do want to be in the queue waiting while afk.

SSPVP will auto join you even if you are AFK. Although I would be pretty pissed if someone joined then just sat there afk making our team one man short.

Be careful with auto-join. Both my wife and I installed SSPvP and thought auto-join was great Until...

So there are always times when a BG pops and you're about to go do somethign with someone else. You have the conversaion, "I have the BG, I wanna go unless we can go now." By the time you finish typing that, your 20s is up and you're sucked in =]

I use SSPvP for auto-accept and battleground timers. The timers are a little off (it counts 5 minutes for a cap on AV, when it really takes on the order of 5:20 or so).... My AB counter literally counts 1:03 and is always right on.

The only option I'd love in SSPvP is to auto-accept from your guild. It has an option from your friends list. I can overcome this by adding a couple of poeple on whitelist, but it'd just be more convient.

The auto join timeout is adjustable. You could set it to longer if you have problems like that. You can also have it not autojoin if the join window is hidden. That way when the BG pops just hide the window, finish what you are doing, bring the window back, and join.

Yeah I had it set up to not auto-join if the window was hidden... I still got caught by it once or twice while asking the question 'are we going, or can I go to wsg?'

In any case, I like actually like accepting the battleground myself. I always do some grinding of one kind or another while waiting...

I love auto-accept if invites though.... and the BG timers. I just wish 1m or 5m was really 1m or 5m. It really takes 5:15 or so for a cap in AV and 1:05 in AB (ABhelper adds in the couple extra seconds).

I can't wait until 1.12 and the use of bg-corridinator or bg-invite become useless. Less hassle... and you don't have annoying premades who don't let you join their group.

The pre-mades are annoying. Typically I go out in Durotar and help lowbies quest while I wait. Unless I'm playing my 'lock in which case I find somewhere to farm soulshards.

I farm SFK for a shadowfang dagger or assassin's dagger =]. One time my AB was so short, I still had my instance when I came back =]

Hey, i need a realy simple mod for my priest, basically so that it shows health bars above my raid members's characters, so that i can click heal (or whatever) then i can see who i want to heal then click on em. cuz i have to usually go clicking around all my raid members until i see someone who needs a heal, and sometimes its too late... any help how to get a simple mod whcih displays health bars above friendly/raid characters heads??? I understand there is a button in-game to show npc health bars but why not PC's health bars?? |Thanks!!

You can now display PC health bars. I think the default is Shift-V or Ctrl-V. Check your keybings to make sure. I remapped my V key to toggle showing everybody's health bars (friendly and enemy).

A mod which enables you to bind spells to clicks on a wide variety of frames is Clique. It's one I recommend.

I have a mod (the name of which is lost to me atm) that gives me ab/av timers for gy's, nodes, etc.

Outside of that, I have "Hostel Bar" which shows me when my target is casting.

Hi are there any mods to auto join to in the queue for AV when you finish one, or do i have to make the effort after every game?:p

On all my healing classes I've started using Squishy. It is IMO the most helpful mod out there for a BG healer.

I used to be a Squishy user after moving from the CTRAEmergency Monitor. Now I use eeMon. It has more of the features I'm looking for and am used to.

What do those mods do? For healing, I use Panza.

Personally I use "BattleFied Commander 2".
First of all you can see on the bg map which resource belongs to whom (or if it's destroyed if in AV). It also show the players location and colors them red if they are in combat, as well as highlighting the player you are targeting.
Oh, and it show countdown in both AB and AV, as well as the flagbearers in WSG.

Everything I need... ^_^
